An additive for improving the ageing characteristics of rubber compositions is described. The additive comprises a liquid ethylene-propylene-diene monomer (EPDM) elastomer and a suitable curing agent such as amine antioxidant/antiozonants. A microcrystalline wax and a metal oxide may also be included.
