<p>An adjustable elevator door frame is provided for use in a doorway formed in a wall (2). The frame includes a pair of spaced apart side frame members (14) and a top frame member connecting the side frame members. Each side frame member (14) has a longitudinally extending reentrant edge flange (17). The edge flange (17) is adapted for releasable engagement with a connecting element (20) adapted for attachment to the wall (2) adjacent the doorway. The edge flange (17) is adapted to accommodate a degree of relative transverse displacement of the frame member with respect to the corresponding connecting element (20), thereby permitting the frame to adjust and accommodate structural misalignment between corresponding walls (2) of different floors and walls (2) of different thickness. <IMAGE></p> |
