Composition for nail care comprising a sulphur-containing amino acid treatment or a sulphur-containing amino acid derivative. This composition is prepared by introducing into an aqueous or aqueous-alcoholic medium both a sulphur-containing amino acid and a sodium tetraborate. By combination of these two compounds, a composition is obtained which permits both the treatment of weakened or damaged nails and the elimination of cuticles.
