The method for pickling cucumbers, including their fermentation and storing thereof in large containers in air-conditioned environment, and unloading, consisting in that cucumbers are fermented in plastic containers of up to 2200 mm in diameter and up to 16 m<3> capacity at temperature of 9-10 degrees C, and then after the acidity reaches 0.7 per cent of lactic acid in the pickling solution, the temperature is lowered to 5-7 degrees C, and pickled cucumbers are unloaded from the containers by fluming with the pickling solution circulating in a closed circuit.
