Process for the preparation of flexible explosive compositions which are sensitive to caps (blasting caps), with reduced inflammability

Process which consists in mixing a finely divided, cap- sensitive explosive with a flame-resistant polymeric binder system which contains a flame-propagation- retardant material compatible with a drip suppressor and optionally with a crosslinking activator, in such a manner that the binding system, when exposed to the heat of an ignition source, crosslinks and hardens at a speed which is faster than the speed with which the explosive composition burns.
