PURPOSE:To enhance efficiency of copying operation, by reducing times of change- over of paper sources, and enabling paper feed without stopping it during copying operation of a preset number of papers. CONSTITUTION:One of paper feeders 23, 26, 29 which has papers of a size designated and a number of papers more than the preset number is chosen by output signals of paper feed control circuit 51, decision circuit 45, and comparator circuit 47 to feed the papers. When no paper feeder contains a number of papers more than the preset number, the one which has papers of a designated size is chosen to feed the papers, and orders indication circuit 46 to indicate that the other feeder has to be replenished with new papers. Copying control circuit 52 controls charger 2, exposing unit 3, transferring unit 13, etc., and on depression of a preset switch, it starts copying operation, and allows its operation to be carried on by the preset number of preset counter 41, thus permitting copying operation efficiency to be enhanced. |
