PURPOSE:To eliminate the need for separately providing a plate making machine and a printing press by a construction wherein in a lithographic press provided with a plate cylinder, an impression cylinder, and an inking arrangement, a heat-sensitive lithographic plate which is not required to be developed is set on the plate cylinder, and image signals are recorded the plate by a printing part. CONSTITUTION:A lithographic press is provided with a plate cylinder 3, an impression cylinder 1, and an inking arrangement 6. On the plate cylinder 3, a heat-sensitive lithographic plate is set. For this plate, a developing operation independent of an image signal recording operation is not required. Image signals are transmitted from an electronic composition machine, an electronic edition and composition machine, a DTP, a personal computer, a word processor, or the like. The image signals are recorded on the heat-sensitive lithographic plate by a printing means 4 serving as an image output means for making a pressplate. In this invention, the printing part 4 is so constructed as to use a thermal head or a laser. |
