PURPOSE:To compensate a backlash of a rotary press excellently by a method wherein when feedback control for a fine control mechanism of a plate surface position and its deviation measuring instrument is not performed, a backlash simulator which generates a backlash amount of the rotary press corresponding to a shear amount between the fine control mechanism and the plate surface position is provided. CONSTITUTION:For a rotary press, a plate cylinder 1 is rotated with a motor 2 via respective helical gears 3, 4, etc. At that time, fine control of the plate surface position is performed by reciprocation of a fine controlling operation board 6 with a controller 17 via a fine controlling motor 9 based on measured results of a deviation measuring instrument 7 to the helical gear 4. Then, the controller 17 is equipped with a machine model 13 containing a drive system 13 and a backlash model 14 between both components abovementioned 4, 6, and a feedback gain 16 is supplied thereto. In that case, a backlash sumilator is incorporated into the controller 17. Then, when feedback control is not performed, a backlash amount of the rotary press corresponding to a positional shear amount between the fine control mechanism and the plate surface is generated. |
