PURPOSE:To perform web connection to a leading web with no trouble by preventing generation of a delay of detecting a pasting position of a new roll relating to increase of a surface speed of the new roll. CONSTITUTION:A pulse generator 9 is arranged to obtain a pulse signal at each predetermined rotary angle of a new roll given to the enable of a preset counter CNT. A reflecting tape stuck to the new roll is actuated by the CNT with the timing detected by a photosensor 7 to obtain a counter output of 1 pulse at each time a count value of the CNT reaches a predetermined value N. After a surface speed of the new roll is increased to the running speed of a leading web, the leading web is brought into press contact with a surface of the new roll and separated by the predetermined timing with the counter output of the CNT as a trigger. |
