PURPOSE:To produce a thrust washer reduced in the deformation without distortions in the molded thrust washer, and holding a large non-oriented strength and slidability by employing a molding material produced by a specific production method. CONSTITUTION:Phenolic resin powder, glass fibers, aramide fibers and carbon powder are dispersed in a weight ratio of 35/20/10/35 in water and subsequently formed into a sheet-like molding material. The molding material is punched into a doughnut shape, and three of the punched products are heated and press- molded. When the molding material is used as both the surface layers of a molded product and when a molding material not containing carbon powder or reduced in the content of the carbon powder and increased in the content of reinforcing fibers is also used as the core layer of the molded product, the molded product having a larger strength is obtained. |
