A METHOD OF DISINFECTING HARD SURFACES Hard surfaces are disinfected using alcoholic microbiocidal compositions which contain reduced alcohol and anti-microbial concentrations. The compositions comprise an aqueous solution of a lower alcohol, an acid and an anti-microbially effective amount of an amino- or ammonium- based microbiocide, the pH of the total composition not exceeding 5. The reduced alcohol and microbiocide levels improve safety of handling and suitability for use on surfaces which contact food. The compositions demonstrate both disinfectant and preservative properties. |
