<p>PURPOSE:To improve the safety in a case of collisions at side and suppress adverse effect to a door opening part by increasing the rigidity against the collisions at side of a quarter panel part in a vehicle having one door opening part in the side of the vehicle. CONSTITUTION:A lower end part l6a of a downward extension forming part 16 of a center pillar reinforcement 15 is connected to a side sill 7, and at the same time, the first reinforcement 17 extending in the longitudinal direction which connects the extension forming part 16 to a wheel house panel 6 and the second reinforcement 18 which connects the first reinforcement 17 to the extension forming part 16 in a diagonal manner are arranged, and a bead 19 is formed on the first reinforcement 17. The arrangement of these respective members allows an effective increase of the rigidity of a quarter panel part against the collision at side and improvement of the safety in the collision at side. On the other hand, the rigidity of the quarter panel part is not improved much against the collision at the rear part, allowing suppression of the adverse effect to the door opening part.</p> |
