PURPOSE:To obtain the title device provided with a transmitting light sensor provided in the vicinity of chute outlet above a grass bag, means for continuously detecting a signal of the sensor and means for accurately informing fullness of the grass bag regardless of dryness and length of reaped grass. CONSTITUTION:In a device for detecting fullness of grass bag of a reaper 1 constituted so that lawn glass reaped with a rotating cutter blade 8a is moved through the interior of a chute 13 by an air stream fed into the chute together with the lawn grass and housed into a grass bag 11, transmitting type light sensor having a light emitting part 17a and light receiving light part 17b arranged opposite to the light-emitting part 17a are provided at a prescribed position in the vicinity of outlet part of the chute 13 provided so that the outlet part is located above the grass bag 11 and density of lawn grass in the upper part of the bag 11 is measured and it is detected with a means for continuously detecting signal that light-blocking state of the transmitting light sensor continued longer than estimated time and fullness of grass bag 11 is informed with an informing means such as lamp or buzzer in response to the detected signal to accurately detect fullness of the grass bag 11. |
