PURPOSE:To obtain an elastomer roller having the high coefficient of friction and excellent durability and reducing the contamination of paper by specifying the addition amount of a softener to EPDM rubber becoming a main component. CONSTITUTION:The addition amount of a softener to EPDM rubber becoming a main component is set to 150 pts.wt. or less per 100 pts.wt. of the rubber and the Mooney viscosity of raw EPDM rubber is set to about 70 or more and carbon black is added in an amount of about 10 pts.wt. or less per 100 pts.wt. of the rubber to obtain an elastomer roller wherein the coefficient of friction to plain paper is 2.0 or more and hardness is 35 deg. or less. By this method, abrasion resistance is improved in the low filling with carbon black and transfer paper is not contaminated and the coefficient of friction can be enhanced. |
