PURPOSE:To improve the impact resistance of a thermoplastic polyetherimide resin over a wide temp. range by compounding the resin, a specific graft copolymer, and a silane compd. CONSTITUTION:60-99 pts.wt. thermoplastic polyetherimide resin pref. of the formula, 1-40 pts.wt. graft copolymer obtd. by grafting at least one vinyl monomer onto a polyorganosiloxane rubber or onto a composite rubber wherein molecules of the polyorganosiloxane rubber and molecules of a polyalkyl (meth) acrylate rubber are entangled with each other and 1-40 pts.wt. (based on 100 pts.wt. the sum of the resin and the graft copolymer) epoxidized silane compd. are compounded. |
