摘要 PURPOSE:To inhibit the reduction with time of a residual solvent in an accepting layer, and to lower the change with time of printing quality by using methyl ethyl ketone and a solvent having an evaporation rate smaller than methyl ethyl ketone as a solvent forming an image-receiving layer. CONSTITUTION:A Sublimation thermal transfer recording body is composed of a base film 2 and a dye transfer layer 3. Sublimating dyes are sublimated from the dye transfer layer 3 of the sublimation type thermal transfer recording medium by the heating of a thermal head 1 and transferred to the dyeing layer B of an image-receiving medium in the process of transfer. A solvent having viscosity, by which the solvent can be applied uniformly, the excellent stability with time of viscosity and an optimum evaporation rate is favorable. Methyl ethyl ketone is used in quantity more than other solvents, thus diminishing the quantity of the solvent remaining in a dyeing layer. Isopropyl alcohol, toluene, 1,4 dioxane, etc., may be employed as the solvent mixed.
