PURPOSE:To obtain a fiber-reinforced thermoplastic resin molded form having excellent appearance by superposing a preheated fiber-resin-forced thermoplastic resin sheet and a porous fibrous sheet, placing the laminate on a bottom force, supplying the upper section of the porous fibrous sheet with a molten thermoplastic resin and pressing and cooling the thermoplastic resin. CONSTITUTION:A paper-made sheet manufactured through a wet type paper making method by using fibers 5-50mm in length is favorable as a porous fibrous sheet. A top force 1 is installed to the upper platen of a pressing machine. A preheated fiber-reinforced thermoplastic resin sheet 8 and a porous fibrous sheet 9 are superposed and placed on the mold surface of a bottom force 6. The molds are closed, and the upper section of the fibrous sheet 9 is supplied with a thermoplastic resin through a resin path 3 in the mold. It is preferable that the clearance between the top and bottom forces 1, 6 is not more than the thickness of the preheated fiber-reinforced thermoplastic resin sheet 9 plus 50mm but not less than the thickness of the preheated said sheet 9. The molds are clamped, and cooled. Accordingly, a molded form having a smooth surface and excellent appearance is acquired. |
