PURPOSE:The titled composition, having improved printability while retaining the quick drying property with ultraviolet light, and comprising a product obtained by adding an alkylene oxide to the hydroxyl group of sorbitan, and reacting a(n) (un)saturated fatty acid etc. with the addition reaction product. CONSTITUTION:A composition comprising a reaction product obtained by reacting the hydroxyl group of a sorbitan expressed by formula I, II or III with an alkylene oxide, e.g. ethylene oxide, and esterifying the addition product with (A) a 2-36C saturated fatty acid or an unsaturated fatty acid except an alpha,beta-unsaturated monobasic acid and then (B) an alpha,beta-unsaturated monobasic acid or a reaction product obtained by esterifying the addition product with the component (A), and then adding (D) glycidyl (methyl) acrylate to the remaining hydroxyl group of esterification product. EFFECT:Nonuniform transfer of an ultraviolet light curing printing ink and staining of printed matter will not occur when used as a vehicle or a diluent for the ink.
