PRODUCTION OF DIALKYL CARBONATE

摘要

PURPOSE:To obtain the subject compound in a high yield and in high selectivity by reacting a cyclic carbonate with an alcohol in the presence of a specific solid catalyst. CONSTITUTION:A cyclic carbonate such as ethylene carbonate is reacted with an alcohol such as methanol in the presence of a solid catalyst having nitrogen- containing heterocyclic groups in which a part or all of the nitrogen atoms are quarterized, such as an ion exchange resin having N-methylpyridinium chloride groups, preferably in an amount of 0.5-50wt.% to obtain the objective compound. The alcohol is used in an amount of 0.2-20 times that of the cyclic carbonate.
