PURPOSE:To provide the mechanochemical actuator which can improve strength and generated power quantity while its constitution is relatively simple and the tube for medical use. CONSTITUTION:The mechanochemical actuator 1 is constituted by fitting an expandable sleeve 12 consisting of a braided non-expandable fiber element onto the outside wall of an elastic tube 11 provided internally with a mechanochemical member 2 and further converting the expansion and contraction effects of the mechanochemical member 2 to driving power via a sleeve 12.
