PURPOSE:To prevent the buildup on the surface of a display layer or interlaminar peeling by transferring the sublimable dyes sublimed from a multicolor sublimation transfer sheet according to the signal obtained by the color separation of a manuscript by a thermal head to an image display surface to form a color image. CONSTITUTION:In a card 10 such as an identification card, the display image 4 of a display layer 2 is formed as a color image using the sublimable dyes sublimed from a sublimation transfer sheet of at least three colors, that is, cyan, yellow and magenta according to the signal obtained by the color separation of a manuscript by a thermal head. The display layer 2 and a protective layer 3 are successively arranged to the upper surface of a card substrate 1. At this time, a photograph of face is set as the display image. The sublimable dyes are set to an mol.wt. of 400-800 and, further, a release agent is added to the display layer 2. By this method, the display image 4 is applied to the display layer 2 and it is prevented that the surface of the display layer 2 rises and the protective layer 3 is peeled. |
