PURPOSE:To obtain the subject product having small birefringence, excellent transparency and dimensional and shape stability, high heat-resistance and economic merit by using a linear aromatic polyester having a specific composition. CONSTITUTION:The objective article is produced by using a linear aromatic polyester composed of (A) a dicarboxylic acid consisting of terephthalic acid and/or isophthalic acid or its derivative, (B) a dihydroxy compound having aromatic ring on the main chain and side chain and expressed by formula I (R1 is 2-4C alkylene; R2 is H or 1-7C alkylene; R3 and R4 are H, methyl, etc.), (C) a dihydroxy compound having aromatic ring and S on the main chain and expressed by formula II (R5 is R1; R6 is R3; Y is S, SO, etc.) and (D) an aliphatic glycol as a molding material. Preferably, the component B is 1,1-bis(4- hydroxyethoxyphenyl) 1-phenyl-ethane, the component C is bis(4- hydroxyethoxyphenyl) sulfone and the component D is ethylene glycol. |
