PURPOSE:To obtain the title composition capable of reducing the residual carbon content of the fired forms thereof by incorporating ceramic powder with a copolymer made up of alkylene carbonate unit, unsaturated carboxylic acid unit and unsaturated carboxylic ester unit. CONSTITUTION:The objective composition can be obtained by incorporating (A) 100 pts.wt. of ceramic powder with (B) 5-30 pts.wt. of a copolymer made up of alkylene carbonate unit, unsaturated carboxylic acid unit and unsaturated carboxylic ester unit. The component A is e.g. at least one kind of powder selected from oxides such as alumina, silica and cordierite and non-oxides such as aluminum nitride, silicon nitride and silicon carbide, being normally 0.1-30mu in particle diameter. When the present composition is used as raw material for producing ceramic substrates, the green sheets produced during the manufacturing process are adequate in mechanical strength and very easy to handle. |
