PURPOSE:To remove the risk of closing a lid suddenly when it is being opened or closed in a mechanism for opening and closing the lid by the action of a link for supporting the lid. CONSTITUTION:A link for supporting a lid 2 is divided into two sections 8a and 8b and a freely movable cylindrical stopper member 10 is passed over either of these sections and, when the lid is raised into a fully open position, it is moved over a jointed part of the link sections to prevent the lid from falling. By providing in this way the safety mechanism capable of preventing the lid from falling at a lid opening and closing part, a device capable of preventing sudden closing of the lid in a high safety can be obtained. |
