The method for improving the convenience of terminal operation comprises the following steps: selecting the screen information on the configuration initial screen; discriminating the outputted screen (color or monochrome); determining whether the screen attribute is changed or not; designating each screen attribute (normal, underline, reverse, etc) for wanted color; discriminating whether the specific attritue value transmitted from the host corresponds to the interval of the screen attribute value; outputting the attribute value as the designated color; designating the next attribute transmitted from the host, followed by converting the attribute value to the initial value.
