METHOD FOR DECIDING QUANTITY ATTRIBUTE

PURPOSE:To improve the flexibility of an information processing system by deciding the common quantity attribute after extracting a quantity attribute candidate to be obtained from the relation between the objective concept and the quantity attribute and between the comparative concept and the quantity attribute by using the knowledge base relating to the quantity. CONSTITUTION:An input analyzing part 2 allocates the objective concept and the comparative concept to an objective concept coupling amount attribute extraction part 3 and a comparative concept coupling amount attribute 4 by resolving an input 1. The objective concept coupling amount attribute extraction part 3 extracts the quantity attribute to be coupled with the objective concept from a knowledge base 8 and outputs it to a common quantity attribute extraction part 5. The comparative concept quantity attribute extraction part 4 extracts the quantity attribute to be coupled with the comparative concept and outputs it to the common quantity attribute extraction part 5. The common quantity attribute extraction part 5 extracts the quantity attribute 5 commonly included in the objective concept coupling amount attribute and the comparative concept coupling amount attribute and outputs it to a quantity attribute selection part 6. The quantity attribute selection part 6 takes the received quantity attribute as the common quantity attribute when it is single, and takes the selection result as the common quantity attribute by issuing a selective request to a function with the input 1 in the plural cases.
