PURPOSE:To improve an inserting accuracy by solving a subject of illuminating only the end of a lead terminal and providing means for efficiently inserting from lead terminal information in a component inserting device for inserting a component having a lead terminal. CONSTITUTION:The component inserting device comprises a light source 9 for radiating the end of a lead terminal of an electronic component with a light, an optical component 7 for so condensing the light as to illuminate only the terminal, a camera 8 for imaging the position of the end of the terminal irradiated with the light from the light source and outputting position information, deviation amount measuring means 10 for calculating the deviation amount of the terminal, and optimum inserting position deciding means 12 for deciding the optimum inserting position corresponding to the deviation amount of the terminal to be also used as insertion possibility deciding means 11 for deciding whether an insertion is possible or not. The light is condensed by the component to illuminate only the end of the terminal to obtain its accurate information, the optimum inserting position can be accurately decided, and the component can be efficiently inserted. |
