PURPOSE:To obtain a copying machine capable of surely and easily making a copy even on a special copying object such as a book by providing a foot switch for starting a copying action. CONSTITUTION:A original detector 1, an original cover detector 2, and a main body control CPU 3 fetching a signal from the detector 1 or 2, and issuing an order to various kinds of drivers 4 for executing the copying action, are provided. Then, the CPU 3 outputs an alarm display to a display unit 5. Then, a printing key 8 and the switch 9, for starting the copying action, are OR- connected, and when either of them is turned on, the copying action is started. When the original detector 1 executes the output of the absence of the original, the copying action is inhibited, and an inhibition display is carried out. On the other hand, when the output of the presence of the original is executed, and the foot switch 9 is turned on, the copying action is started. Therefore, a copy is surely made, even in a state where an operator presses a book, etc., by his or her hand. |
