The invention relates to a device (1) for rapidly making an electrical connection to a flat conducting element (3), comprising a gripper (clamp) (9) seizing hold of the flat conducting element (3) and connected to a terminal to which the electrical line (2) is connected, the stripped end (11) of which line is fixed in the terminal by tightening a screw. It is characterised in that: - the spring leaf (leaf spring) (19) is combined with a pin (23) made of a material which is a good electrical conductor, so as to form, with it, the gripper suitable for seizing hold of the conducting element; - the pin has a cross-section sufficient for it alone to be able to ensure the connection under the desired power; - this pin (23) presents, facing the spring leaf, a flat area providing a wide bearing surface for one of the faces of the flat conducting element (3) capable of taking up a position in this gripper; and - the said pin is connected directly to the electrical line (2) via the terminal. <IMAGE>
