PURPOSE:To ensure high image density and stable electrostatic chargeability even at the time of continuous copying and to prevent the stain of a copy and the scattering of a toner in a copying machine. CONSTITUTION:This developer is composed of a toner contg. at least a hydroxycarboxylic acid compd. of a naphthalene or anthracene compd. or a bishydroxycarboxylic acid compd. obtd. by dimerizing the hydroxycarboxylic acid compd. with a combining group and a resin coated carrier having 10<7>-10<13>OMEGAcm static resistivity.
