PURPOSE:To perform the optimum positioning of printed matter which is displayed and a document, a picture, etc., which are inputted from the device by inputting the printed matter to a word processor or DTP device and displaying at the same time when the document or picture is prepared. CONSTITUTION:This document preparing device is provided with a printed matter image input device 12 which reads the printed matter 11 as an image and sends the physical size of the printed matter to a document preparing device main body, a print image magnification calculation device 15 which calculates the best magnification for a print image display from the physical size of the printed matter 11, printing margins of a document form generated by the document preparing device main body, printing information on a character pitch, etc., and the physical display screen capacity that a display device 14 connected to the document preparing device main body has, and a display controller 13 and a display device 14 which display the inputted printed matter image with the magnification and also display a print document prepared by the document preparing device main body together as the print form. |
