PURPOSE:A dentifrice, capable of removing or relieving the toothache in addition to the action of the conventional dentifrice and imparting refreshingness to the mouth even after use, suitable for use before a meal, and comprising an ume composition as a constituent. CONSTITUTION:A dentifrice comprising an ume composition as a constituent in the conventional dentifrice. The dentifrice has improved effects on disinfecting the mouth, removing the stain or tar from the tooth and the foul breath, dissolving the tartar, and preventing the dental caries, relieves or removes the toothache, and imparts the desirable refreshingness to the mouth after use without degrading the taste of a food and drink even in use before a meal. An unripe or pickled ume or dried powder of pickled ume or a juice of an unripe ume is added to a toothpaste, and a dried powder is added to a tooth powder. The amount of the composition is 30-60wt% in a dentifrice for an adult and 15-20wt% for a child, said amounts being based on the original dentifrice. |
