PURPOSE:To calculate an accurate symmetrical axis by putting weight corresponding to a position within a divided area to respective pieces of data in area division data at the time of calculating a central point. CONSTITUTION:In a symmetrical axis arithmetic unit calculating the symmetrical axis by setting an object to be a rotating symmetrical object to a given three dimmentional object data points sequence, a temporary symmetrical axis holder 21, a data divider 22, a center arithmetic unit 23 and a straight line arithmetic unit 24 are provided. Then, the given three dimensional object data points sequence is area divided with the temporary symmetrical axis inputted from the temporary symmetrical axis holder 21 and given weight corresponding to the position occupied by area division data within respective areas so as to calculate the symmetrical axis of the three dimmentional object. At the time of calculating the central point, weight corresponding to the position within the division range is put to respective pieces of the data within area division data, like this. Thereby, a proper symmetrical axis can be obtained with respect to even, etc., with large variance, whose thickness rapidly changes. |
