PURPOSE:To execute an early restoration process of the device when an abnormality is caused in a picture reader and to facilitate the restoration process. CONSTITUTION:In the first CPU 101, judgement of the timing where copying paper can be separated in relationship to detected result of a reference position sensor 13 detecting the reference position of a transfer drum during a transferring process is carried out repeatedly, and when the abnormality in the reader is detected by reader part sensor group 104 during the transferring process, control is carried out by the first CPU 101 so that the copying paper is separated from a transfer drum by operating a separation claw at a timing where separation can be carried out. |
