A portable, compact and lightweight device is proposed in order to access, individually, each of the electrical circuits passing via multicontact electrical connectors (12, 14) normally connecting an item of removable electronic equipment (10) to a base system, so as to carry out adjustment (tuning) and maintenance operations with the aid of external apparatuses adapted (matched) to the types of signal conveyed by the circuits. This device comprises a portable frame (42) in which a housing (48) is formed, in the bottom of which a connector (50) is placed. In operation, the item of equipment (10) is placed in the housing (48) and connected up to the connector (50) which, via a cable (58), the accessed units (52, 66) and a cable (60), is connected to another connector (62) which is itself connected up to the connector (14) of the base system. In the storage and transporting position, it is the connector (62) which is placed in the housing (48). Access to the circuits is via terminals located on the front faces of the access units (52, 66), which are located on the top of the frame. <IMAGE>
