Mixed polymers consisting of a metaloxopolymer network derived especially from an alkoxide of metal M, the M atoms being bonded to or associated with an organic polymer derived from an ethylenically unsaturated monomer through the intermediacy of radicals originating from the dissociation of a ligand compound of the said alkoxide and initiator of polymerisation by a radical route. The are prepared by complexing the said alkoxide with the initiator ligand, inorganic polycondensation - hydrolysis and organic polycondensation of an unsaturated monomer. Use as filled polymeric materials with improved properties or as fillers for polymers.
