The invention concerns a feed for rearing crayfish or the like and consisting of raw materials originating from the plant and/or animal kingdoms. The feed comprises a fraction which consists of precipitated proteins and which binds together the solid constituents of the feed, and the protein fraction can form gaseous pockets as a result of microbial action. In feeding crayfish or the like, grains or the like made from the feed are allowed to sink into the cultivation basin within reach of the crayfish or the like, and at the end of feeding the unused feed particles or the like are heated to stimulate the microbial activity in the feed grains or the like. The feed grains or the like, as a result of the buoyancy generated by the gas, are caused to rise to the surface of the water in the cultivation basin and are removed from the basin. The invention also concerns a method for producing the feed. |
