File mechanism for documents - has pins on common baseplate removable for filing with stack of documents

The document file mechanism includes two or more fixed pins passing through the perforations in the documents. There is a corresponding number of movable components forming extensions of them in the shut position. The pins (4b) are supported by a common baseplate (4) removable from the frame (2,3a) of the mechanism, so that they can be lifted clear of it complete with the documents with the mechanism open and keep them in a stack for filing, a fresh baseplate with pins being then fitted in their place. A small plate (4c) can be provided, fitting onto the free pin ends to hold the documents in place.
