Transfer connector for network coupling of computers - uses pins of connecting plug to displace bridging element and establish connection to network

The main body of the connector has a pair of coaxial terminals (6,7) that internally connect with signal lines (4,5). The signal lines are brought out to connecting point (3) with bushes (17) to receive the pins of a plug. Without any plug inserted the lines are internally coupled by a bridging contact. When the plug is inserted a spring biased pin (11,12) is displaced and the bridging contact moves to allow an external connection to be made. USE/ADVANTAGE - Used on data transmission line to allow number of items connected to be increased.
