The electronic adder-subtractor circuit forms its results in numeric serial manner. The outputs of input shift registers (1, 2) are fed back to their inputs with crossover. The number stored in one shift register is thereby stored in another shift register after one cycle and vice-versa. The circuit contains a tetrad adder (4) and a tetrad subtractor (5) or imitation subtractor circuit which subtracts in an additive manner. The circuit may contain only a single result shift register. USE/ADVANTAGE - For addition and subtraction only, circuit requires only very few cycles to complete function and operates highly reliably.
