The compact crate has a rectangular shape with three lines of compartments to hold the bottles. The two outer lines have four sections, while the centre line has three sections, set between the outer lines. The close packing of the 11 bottles allows a compact crate of floor dimensions of 200 x 300 mm, compared with a conventional 10 pack covering 200 x 400 mm. The compact crate has a circular compartment insert, or a simple hexagonal honeycomb. The compartment height is up to the bottom of the handgrip cut outs in the sides. ADVANTAGE - 55 more bottles on a 1000 x 1200 mm pallet, or 44 more bottles on a 800 x 1200 mm pallet (per layer).
