摘要 To clean the spinning rotor of an open-end spinner, the compressed air stream is initially directed against the fibre collection zone in a first phase. In a second phase, the gap between the open edge of the rotor and the rotor cover is increased. In the second phase, the compressed air stream is directed at the rotor to give an air flow from the fibre collection zone to the open edge of the rotor and then towards the suction flow. The first and second phases are repeated once or more frequently. After the first or second phase, a third cleaning phase can be set where the gap between the open edge of the rotor and the cover is greater than in the second phase, where the cover is moved to expose the interior of the rotor completely. In the first phase, the fibres and debris are loosened in the collection zone to be lifted clear in the second phase for the fibre ring to be removed in the third phase. In the second or third phase, a compressed air stream is directed at the base of the rotor, at the side away from the suction, which also passes over a clinging fibre ring. After at least two cleaning phases while the rotor is braked, the rotor is temporarily rotated and then braked again for the working zone of the compressed air stream to be varied along its length against the rotor during the braking action.
