In the mixing valve (10), the displacement member (22) and the outer tube (24) engaging coaxially around the latter are arranged on the inflow element (20). In the region of the annular gap (36) between the displacement member (22) and the outer tube (24), a nickel wire (40), which is covered by the plastic sheathing (44), is wound about the outer tube (24). Cold or hot water flows through the inflow apertures (12, 14) to the recess (26), is pre-mixed there, and flows through the annular gap (36) to the outflow aperture (18). Since the flow cross-section in the annular gap (36) is less than the inflow cross-section of the inflow apertures (12, 14), the speed of the mixing water is higher, which promotes further thorough mixing and improves the heat transfer to the outer tube (24). No radial temperature gradient can form in the annular gap (36), so that the temperature of the water can be measured very accurately. Furthermore, the temperature is measured very close to the point of thorough mixing, which makes it possible to record very quickly the change in temperature of the mixing water. In order to achieve the desired temperature of the mixing water, the valves (15, 15') are regulated by the control (45). …
…
|
