Compressor process to clean vehicle exhaust gases - comprises compression stage, then compressed gas is passed through to absorption filter, cleaned, expanded back to atmospheric pressure and released
摘要
In a process to clean exhaust gases contg. hydrocarbon gases or vapours, preliminary cleaning is effected in a contraflow exchange column by a cooled fluid absorption medium. The absorbent consists in part of fluid from which the effluent has been evaporated. In a subsequent absorption stage, the coarsely-cleaned exhaust gases pass through a regenerated absorption filter. The absorption process stage is preceded by a compression stage in which the exhaust gas pressure is raised to at least 2.5 bar absolute; coarsely cleaned exhaus gases are passed through the absorption filter at increase pressure and the gases thus cleaned are then expanded back tû atmospheric pressure and released; the absorption filter i regenerated by means of an expansion assembly, with the resultin gases being returned to the compressor stage. USE/ADVANTAGE - The process facilitates removal of high concns. of harmful substances from vehicle exhausts to a level which meets the legal requirements, with simple equipment and at low cost.
