The field of the invention is that of the treatment of fluids containing adsorbable constituents. More precisely the invention relates to a device for the treatment of fluids such as air or water for example, laden with adsorbable constituents, with the aid of an adsorbent material. According to the invention the device for treating the fluid, especially air or water laden with at least one adsorbable constituent, of the type comprising a structure (1) made of adsorbent material, intended to have passing through it a flow of the said fluid to be treated so as to adsorb the said constituent capable of being adsorbed by the said adsorbent material, is characterised in that the said structure made of adsorbent material consists of a set of superposed layers (3) spaced so as to promote the creation of turbulence between the said layers (3), through which the said flow of fluid to be treated passes in succession. The adsorbent material is advantageously an electrically conductive material and is regenerated by Joule effect by the application of an electrical current to at least one of the layers (3) of the structure. <IMAGE>
