In printing apparatus, sheets 16 are conveyed away from a printing unit by sheet gripper carriages 10 carried on chains 12, the trailing part of each sheet being free and normally describing contour 16A to be supported on rails 18. Sheet influencing means are provided, particularly UV lamps (20) for curing the print, and positioning means such as guides or one or more fans (26, 28) maintain the trailing part of each sheet in a preferred position as it passes the influencing means, e.g. against the underside of rails 24 to be in the region of focus of the UV lamps. <IMAGE> |
