Control stem for mixing valve

A mixing valve has a control stem assembly including a main handle stem (180) which receives a coaxial temperature control stem (182). The main stem is keyed to a rotatable housing (40) within the main body (11) of the valve which is movable to regulate the total volume of inflows of hot and cold water to a mixing chamber (115) in the housing, an upper end of said stem having a volume control handle keyed thereto. The temperature control stem has a control knob (183) for setting a thermostatic valve assembly (101 etc) within said chamber to regulate the temperature of the mix therein.
