PURPOSE:To stop the transmitting of useless carriers to show the absence of data, and to reduce power consumption at a broadcasting station by providing, at the broadcasting station, a separation part to separate information and a control part to add the separated information, and transmitting an information representing the presence/absence of transmission data or a data length to the broadcasting station. CONSTITUTION:An information representing the presence/absence of data or the data length is inserted and transmitting to a broadcasting station 2. This information is separated in the separation part 3, and in case the information represents the presence of data or data length not zero, the control part 4 controls a modulation transmission part 5, to transmits the data transmitted through a line 1, the modulated and frequency-converted data is added to a power amplifier 6, and amplified data is transmitted from an antenna 7. Also, in case the data represents the absence of data or zero data length, the control parts 4 controls so that the output of the part 5 comes zero or is not inputted to the amplifier 6. Therefore, in case where transmission data does not exist, the power consumption of the power amplifier 6 can be reduced. |
