<p>Method for bending, in one plane, a profiled element (7) made of composite material composed of long fibres in a thermoplastic matrix, characterised by the fact that the profiled element is heated over its entire length to the softening point (temperature) of the matrix and then by the fact that the bending is achieved by means of a band (8) which is applied firmly, by pulling on it at each of its ends, against the profiled element arranged against a former (6) having a curvature corresponding to the desired bending, the band being pulled down so as to cover the said former, the profiled element then being cooled down to the solidification (setting) temperature of the matrix whilst maintaining the tension in the said band (8). <IMAGE></p> |
