PURPOSE:To provide an imitation sound generating toy which generates imitation sound in accordance with motion of a body part such as an arm where a toy is installed, and with which the sorts of the generated imitation sound can be increased without increasing the number of pushbutton switches for generating the imitation sound. CONSTITUTION:For an imitation sound generating toy 1, an imitation sound generating circuit 2 comprising a detection switch 14 for detecting a rotation action of a body part where the toy is installed, a detection switch 13 for detecting a protruding action of the body part where the toy is installed, and a mode change detecting means for detecting the rotation action of the body part detected by the rotation action detection switch 14 continuing for a predetermined time or more is provided, so that imitation sound in accordance with detection results by the detection switches 13 and 14 is generated, and the imitation sound is changed based on a detection result by the mode change detecting means. |
